CRIMINAL/EVIL MINDED BELIEVERS?

"You believe [or, are convinced] that Yahweh is one; you do well. The demons also believe-and they shudder (tremble) [with fear]!" James 2:19 (Jacob)

Can there be such a thing-an evil minded believer? Yes! The demons that fell from heaven (or more appropriately, were cast out) know and believe that Yahweh exists. They also believe that the Son of Man, Yahshua is real too! They acknowledged Him while he was in the flesh here on earth.

" And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, you Son of Yahweh? Are you come here to torment us before the time?" Matthew 8:29

"And Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Genesis 6:5

The passage in Genesis 6 begins with the terminology, "the Sons of Elohim." Who were the Sons of Elohim? They were the descendants of Seth. These were supposed to be of the righteous lineage. Cain was of the evil one, Satan, and his descendants were expected to transgress Yahweh's laws. The Seth lineage were supposed to obey Yahweh's commandments, and perpetuate the righteous seed. However, something happened to their thought processes and they became corrupt instead. These were supposed to be believers, but their minds were changed to thoughts of evil instead. Where does evil originate? Yahshua answered this dilemma in His dissertation with the Pharisees and scribes of His time.

"Then there come to Yahshua from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes, saying,
Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. And he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of Elohim because of your tradition?
For Elohim said, Honor your father and your mother: and, He that speaks evil of father or mother, let him die the death.
But you say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, That with which you might have been profited by me is given to Elohim;
he shall not honor his father. And you have made void the word of Yahweh because of your tradition.
You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
This people honors me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.
But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.
And he called to him the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Not that which enters into the mouth defiles the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man." Matthew 15:1-11

The question arose concerning the washing of hands prior to eating. This offered Yahshua opportunity to explain several enlightening points concerning the hand washing ceremony employed by the Pharisees, and the origin of evil.

"But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.
Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.
And Peter answered and said to him, Declare to us the parable.
And he said, Are you also even yet without understanding?
Perceive you not, that whatsoever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:
these are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not the man." Matthew 15:13-20

Eating with unwashed hands does not defile the individual, evil thoughts defile the man. To reinforce the evil minded believer thought, we can read the passage in Matthew 7:

"Not every one that says to me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Master, Master, did we not prophesy by your name, and by your name cast out demons? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23

Now we can see more clearly! Sin coupled with the use of Yahshua's name brings rejection. Are there people who believe in the use of the Sacred Names while being evil minded? Yes, there are many such people. But! By their fruits you shall know them. They cannot hide their evil minded intentions. With evil being the order of the day, good minded people are having a very rough time spiritually speaking. The thoughts of evil minded people are constantly paraded before the human race via television, movies, magazines, newspapers, and a plethora of other media outreach facilities. I'm afraid the days of Noah are upon the human race.

"But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
For as they were in the days before the flood: eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark.
And they did not know until the flood came and took all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man." Matthew 24:37-39

We only have to read Genesis chapter six to discover what was transpiring in those days!

What happens to supposedly righteous individuals that would cause them to change their minds? Temptation? Weakness in the flesh? Bad character? Perhaps all of these and more. One individual that went from good to bad is found in:

"Now king Solomon loved many foreign women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;
of the nations concerning which Yahweh said unto the children of Israel, You shall not go among them, neither shall they come among you; for surely they will turn away your heart after their elohim: Solomon clung to these in love.
And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other elohim; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his Elohim, as was the heart of David his father.
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the elohim of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
And Solomon did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and went not fully after Yahweh, as did David his father." 1 Kings 11:1-6

Temptation was placed before King Solomon and he yielded to the weakness of the flesh. He listened to the voice of his wives.

"Then did Solomon build a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, in the mount that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
And so did he for all his foreign wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed unto their elohim.
And Yahweh was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel, who had appeared unto him twice,
and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other elohim: but he kept not that which Yahweh commanded." 1 Kings 11:7-10

I believe the question should be asked here! Why would Solomon want 700 wives & 300 concubines? Torah specifically states:

"Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold." Deuteronomy 17:17

And this is what happened to King Solomon! He failed to observe the Torah law in regards to having multiple wives. Did King Solomon know more than Almighty Yahweh? Did he think he could have this many wives and concubines and keep everything under control? The results indicate his absolute failure overall. And so it is with anyone who relaxes the standards of Torah.

What causes a change in some people? Why do they start their lives in the right direction and then; suddenly they change courses? Could it be they become bored with life and want to explore new ideas and practices? Solomon became exploratory in his life and the results are found in Ecclesiastes.

"I said in my heart, Come now, I will test you with mirth. Therefore, consider with goodness. And behold, this also is vanity.
I sought in my heart how to drag my flesh with wine, and leading my heart in wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, until I might see where the good for the sons of men is, that which they should do under the heavens the number of days of their life.
I made my works great; I built houses for myself; I planted vineyards for myself;
I made gardens and parks for myself; and I planted trees in them of every fruit;
I made pools of water for myself; to water from them the forest shooting forth trees;
I bought slaves and slave girls, and the sons of the house were mine. Also livestock, a herd and a great flock were mine, above all that were before me in Jerusalem.
I also gathered to me silver and gold, and the treasure of kings and of provinces. I made ready male singers and female singers for myself; and the delights of the sons of men, a concubine, and concubines.
And I became great and increased more than all who were before me in Jerusalem; also my wisdom stayed with me.
And all that my eyes desired, I did not set aside from them. I withheld not my heart from all joy; for my heart rejoiced from all my labor; and this was my part from all my labor." Ecclesiastes 2:1-10

Reading this passage reminds me of the idle rich in this world, who have too much money, and too much time on their hands. They become bored with their relaxed lifestyles, and begin to experiment with various sensual pleasures to supplement their boredom.

The bottom line in all of this is answered in one word; vanity.

King Solomon went from building the first temple to vacating Almighty Yahweh and doing evil instead of doing good. What changed? Solomon's mind changed that's what happened.

"For Yahweh's wrath is revealed from Heaven on all lawlessness and unrighteousness of men, holding the truth in unrighteousness,
because the thing known of Yahweh is clearly known within them, for Yahweh revealed it to them.
For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and majesty, for them to be without excuse.
Because knowing Yahweh, they did not glorify Him as Elohim, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasoning's, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became foolish
and changed the glory of the incorruptible Elohim into a likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.
Because of this, Elohim gave them up to impurity in the lusts of their hearts, their bodies to be dishonored among themselves,
who changed the truth of Yahweh into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." Romans 1:18-25

When mankind leaves off acknowledging the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, Yahweh; they lose their vision, and can no longer see clearly. Their corrupted vision now takes them in another direction, away from Father Yahweh! Oh! They profess they know Him, and they are truly worshipping Almighty Yahweh and His son Yahshua the Messiah, but they see things a little differently now! They say they are now enlightened to what the Bible actually teaches, and the laws are no longer applicable for our time. The law has been changed from that strict Old Testament application into the law of love! Their reduced application now relegates Yahweh's law to a weakned interpretation as did their father, Satan. (See Isaiah 14:12)

"He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
but whoso keeps his word, in him verily has the love of Yahweh been perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him." 1 John 2:4-5
