Part Two
"To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who
are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their
conscience are defiled.
In part one hypocrisy was discussed briefly. What do you suppose Abba Yahweh is thinking, when he observes and listens to people who use His Name, and willingly break His commandments? Can He be pleased with this hypocritical situation? I do not believe He can. Abba Yahweh and Yahshua the Messiah are consistent!
Yahshua the Messiah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Yes, they are always the same! Why can't we be like them?
Therefore, you be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48
What is a Sabbath keeper allowed to do on the Sabbath?
And
you speak to the sons of Israel, saying, Keeping you shall keep My sabbaths; for
it is a sign between Me and you for your generation; to know that I am Yahweh
your sanctifier.
Several things of note here in this passage. First, the Sabbaths are to be kept-observed. Second, the keeping of the Sabbath is a sign between us and Abba Yahweh! A separation so to speak. By separating ourselves from the Sabbath breakers, we are witnessing to the world that we are following Yahweh's commandment on Sabbath observation; and not man's! Remember, the Sabbath was changed at the Council of Nicea in 325 C.E. By Constantine. There it was changed from the seventh day of the week to the first day commonly called Sunday today. Third, the Sabbath is holy! A sanctified time of hallowed observation and worship. This 24 hour time period is holy time reserved for meeting with and worshipping Abba Yahweh! Fourth, the profaners of the Sabbath will die! Profaning is #2490 in Strong's and BDB. The following defines Profane.
H2490
Let me use one example to perhaps make the profaning of the Sabbath understood in this regard. There are those in Judaism (along with the users of the Sacred name of Yahweh) who believe it is the height of ecstasy to have sexual relations on the Sabbath day. Should we engage in this practice? What about becoming unclean through the sexual relations during this time of co-habitation? Observe the Torah law on this subject.
If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening. Leviticus 15:18
So! Can we worship Almighty Yahweh during the Sabbath in an unclean state? (This uncleanness was self-imposed, while the menstrual cycle is a natural occurrence, just in case you reference this as an excuse!)
What do you think? Can your worship be accepted if you willfully defile yourself on the Sabbath day. What about the following passage if you disagree with the Torah law on this subject?
If you turn away your foot from the sabbath,
from doing your
pleasure on my holy day; and call the
sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable; and shall honor it, not
doing your own ways,
nor finding your own pleasure,
nor speaking your own words:
Now, I ask you? Is the co-habitation between husband and wife an act of pleasure? Or not?
What are some of the ways to violate the Sabbath day? Many many years ago I came into contact with the SDA's teachings on certain work requirements, that would be allowed on the Sabbath day. They incorrectly allow certain services such as Doctors and Nurses to work on the Sabbath day. If the Sabbath day restriction does not allow work, how can we justify working on this Holy day? It is lawful to do good they say! To what extent I might ask? They say; many of their Doctors and nurses refuse pay and contribute their time for working on the Sabbath. Is this right?
At that time on the sabbath, Yahshua went through
the grain fields. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of
grain and to eat.
The Sabbath day is restricted to certain observation parameters.
Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of work: it is a sabbath unto Yahweh in all your dwellings. Leviticus 23:3
Four things stand out in this passage:
If you have to work on the Sabbath day, how can you be in compliance with these requirements? Should you choose an occupation that does not require work on the Sabbath? I certainly would!
Some so-called Sabbath keepers allow cooking on the Sabbath! Is this allowed by Torah law?
And he said unto them, This is that which Yahweh has spoken, Tomorrow is a solemn rest, a holy sabbath unto Yahweh: bake that which you will bake, and boil that which you will boil; and all that remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. Exodus 16:23
Preparation must be done on the sixth day of the week. You do not want to interrupt the Sabbath day with cooking. It is a day of rest for wives and those husbands that cook during the week. They also need to be refreshed. Washing also is not allowed, as this too is work!
A question was asked concerning Truck Drivers. Is it alright to drive on the Sabbath to return home? This is based on returning empty, having already delivered the load.
No, I 'm convinced that even driving your truck home empty, violates the Sabbath conditions. As Truck Driving is your major occupation, and either going to or returning from completes a work assignment, you are working on the Sabbath regardless. We all should be at-in our homes if possible prior to sundown. If you are on the road, lay over, and return after the Sabbath is complete. No one is exempt from the Sabbath laws, especially those confessing Abba Yahweh and using the Messiah's name, Yahshua! More to come!
Yours in Yahshua, Hawke
