"Because of this, we also are striving to be pleasing to Him, whether being at home, or being away from home.
For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.
Then, knowing the fear of the Master, we persuade men, and we have been known to Yahweh; and I also hope to have been known in your consciences."  2 Corinthians 5:9-11

Then do not judge anything before the time, until the Master comes, who will both shed light on the hidden things of darkness and will reveal the counsels of the hearts. And then praise will be to each one from Yahweh.  1 Corinthians 4:5

Have you come to understand your purpose in life?  Why are we here on earth?  What is our purpose?

"Seek Yahweh and His strength; seek His face without ceasing."  Psalm 105:4

"But when the fullness of the time came, Yahweh sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,
that He might redeem the ones under Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because you are sons, Yahweh sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba! Father!"  Galatians 4:4-6

"He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world."  John 1:9

But Isaiah is very bold and says, "I was found by those not seeking Me; I became known to those not inquiring after Me." [Isa. 65:1]
But to Israel He says, "All the day I stretched out My hands to a disobeying and contradicting people." [Isa. 65:2]  Romans 10:20-21

Is our major purpose to seek the Creator?  How would we find Him?  Or does He find us?  What would His will be for us when we find Him?  How would we learn His will?  Who will show us the way?  Religious Writings?  Religious teachers?  Both?

There seems to be an open display of religious insanity at the present time.  Perhaps a quote from Mark Twain might be applicable.

 Twain on Religious Insanity
[This] is a simple rule, and easy to remember. When I, a thoughtful and unblessed Presbyterian, examine the Koran, I know that beyond any question every Mohammedan is insane; not in all things, but in religious matters. When a thoughtful and unblessed Mohammedan examines the Westminster Catechism, he knows that beyond any question I am spiritually insane. I cannot prove to him that he is insane, because you never can prove anything to a lunatic--for that is a part of his insanity and the evidence of it. He cannot prove to me that I am insane, for my mind has the same defect that afflicts his. All Democrats are insane, but not one of them knows it; none but the Republicans and Mugwumps know it. All the Republicans are insane, but only the Democrats and Mugwumps can perceive it. The rule is perfect: in all matters of opinion our adversaries are insane. When I look around me, I am often troubled to see how many people are mad.

This quote certainly applies to many of the so-called magazines, articles, witness tracts, and everything connected with quasi religious groups that we have had the displeasure to read lately.  It now appears that everyone wants to get into the act.  Everyone is a writer!  Everyone is a scholar!  Scholarly errant individuals are only adding to the potpourri of lunacy already extant.

"Is it a small thing to you to have fed on the good pasture, but you must trample the rest of your pastures with your feet? And have you drunk of the clear waters, but the rest you must foul with your feet?
And My sheep, what your feet have trampled, they must feed on, and they drink what your feet have fouled."
  Ezekiel 34:18-19

Many of these so-called scholars/writers have definitely fouled the waters of truth and sound doctrine.  Why?  To pacify their egos!  Their wannabe failure lives, led by bruised egos and insanity, pushed by their demon father, results in delusions of grandeur and outright prevarications. I believe the following paper from 1928 puts forth a good explanation concerning religious insanity.

THEOSOPHY, Vol. 16, No. 4, February, 1928
(Pages 146-149;)

INSANITY is greatly on the increase in the most highly civilized Western countries. It affects all classes but is more highly prevalent among the educated and refined, the leisurely and the well-to-do than among the lowly. Many of the most brilliant minds have become, practically without warning, unbalanced, and, strange as it may sound, many great names in history, and many well known living characters, for all their powers, their learning and reputation, could not pass an *inquirendo de lunatico.

{"*A writ issued to inquire into the state of a person’s mind, whether it is sound or not. If not of sound mind, the person is called non compos, and is committed to proper guardians."}
E. Cobham Brewer 1810–1897. Dictionary of Phrase and Fable. 1898.
De Lunatico Inquirendo (Latin).

Everywhere, in all times, among all classes of humanity insanity is denoted by an enormous expansion of Egotism -- an expansion so great as to constitute for the time being a state of mind in which the sense of Self in the victim is exaggerated to the point of supreme superiority to any and all other men. Whoever or whatever seems to question this superiority is at once anathema, is a fit subject for discipline, for being "put in his proper place." This includes first and foremost those persons and relations hitherto most loved and respected. A concomitant and corollary manifestation is an immense acceleration of pride, of conceit, of vanity, of determination to demand and enforce for one's self that veneration and respect which is due a Supreme being, to chastise recalcitrants, to compel obedience. There is no room for any love but self-love, any sympathy but self-pity, any charity but pardon and forgiveness to rebels who surrender, to converts who render obeisance, to supporters who accept without question the Authority. The pages of history are filled with great Names of men who were, in point of impersonal diagnosis, completely insane. In the religious field, these Names are always those of persons of great devotion and piety, of extremely powerful nature, who were devoured, mind and soul, by such an exaggerated sense of self that their "meditation with a seed" had convinced them through and through with the ideas (a) that mankind must be "saved;" (b) that they are the appointed and chosen "Savior." Lesser cases in men of lesser stature are simply numberless. But always the "seed" of the insanity is fundamentally the idea of "salvation;" of one's self as "savior;" of "sacrifice" according to the will of the savior as the means of salvation. The madman leader of his madmen followers first finds salvation for himself; then esteems himself as the Agent of salvation for others willing to "receive" him; then as Agent for the punishment of the "wicked" who reject him.

"Oh shining star, son of the morning, how you have fallen from the heavens! You weakening the nations, you are cut down to the ground.
For you have said In your heart, I will go up to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of El, and I will sit in the mount of meeting, in the sides of the north.
I will rise over the heights of the clouds; I will be compared to the Most High.
Yet you shall go down to Sheol, to the sides of the Pit."  Isaiah 14:12-15

Plainly; ego was the problem here.  Lucifer, son of the morning, exhibited insanity in his desire to rule the heavens.  Was Lucifer trying to save the Angelic Host from Almighty Yahweh?  What was his mental state?

"Whether we name it revelation or possession or obsession, delusion, hallucination, or whatnot, our language and our history are full of evidences that men's minds are subject to strange influences, the nature of which is not understood even by the most profound students. Ranging all the way from individual aberration on some one point or subject to complete derangement of all the psychological faculties, from the temporary to the chronic, from rare cases to the engulfment of whole populations, it remains that to-day as always, insanity is a baffling mystery indeed, however much has been achieved in the segregation, the treatment and care of the unbalanced.

Although cases of insanity, complete or partial, are all too abundant in ordinary secular existence, it is in the field called religious that is always to be found the largest harvest of this unnatural crop. One who studies the pathology of religious devotees is soon forced to the conclusion, either that Humanity en masse is chronically deranged, or that by far the larger number of the saints and seers, the founders of sects, cults, and their dogmas and rites, were and are insane. The evidence in every case is direct and first-hand, and is to be found in the teachings, the conduct and practices, and the claims and professions made when viewed in the light of the accumulated experience and wisdom of the most enlightened of the race." [Ibid]

Many of the writings that we examine and critique have no saving values.  The writer/writers only attack and demean other individuals.  When they stand before the judgment seat of Messiah, what will they have to say then?

"But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
And before Him shall be gathered all the nations; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
And indeed He will set the sheep off His right, but the goats off the left hand.
Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
 For I hungered, and you gave Me food to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;
naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
Then the righteous will answer, saying, Master, when did we see You hungry, and fed You; or thirsting, and gave You drink?
And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in; or naked, and clothed You?
And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You?
And answering, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, In so far as you did it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it to Me.
Then He will also say to those on His left, Go away from Me, cursed ones, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the Devil and his angels.
 For I hungered, and you did not give Me a thing to eat. I thirsted and you did not give Me a thing to drink;
I was a stranger, and you did not take Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.
Then they also will answer Him, saying, Master, when did we see You hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?
Then He will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, In so far as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to Me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life."  Matthew 25:31-46

The question now becomes?  Did you do anything to help your fellow man?  Did you?

  1. Feed the hungry?

  2. Give the thirsty something to drink?

  3. Treat the stranger right?

  4. Clothe the naked?

  5. Heal the sick?

  6. Visit the prisoners?

These all have spiritual applications pertaining to the teachings of Yahweh's word.  What impact has your teachings had or caused?  Did your teachings accomplish anything close to what Yahshua the Messiah had in mind according to Matthew 25:31-46?  Or?  Are your teachings just an ego driven mindless diatribe with a predisposition for insanity included?  The striking contrast between truthful sane writings and mindless babblings are obvious and apparent.  One writer has saving qualities, while the other writer is obviously insane.

A writer that really wants to see people saved would be writing about salvation and things that pertain to this subject matter.  Observe!

"Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and thus teaches the people, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever does and teaches [them], he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens."  Matthew 5:19

The great writers and teachers always write and teach at the higher levels.  Their thought processes are superior to those who willfully violate rules and regulations.

The teachings of Yahshua the Messiah were absolutely sane.  They brought sanity to the people of His time and ours too, providing we are willing to receive them!

"Then they came out to see the [thing] having happened, and they came to Yahshua and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, having been clothed and being of sound mind, sitting at the feet of Yahshua, and they were frightened.
Now the ones having seen [it], reported to them also how the one having been demon-possessed [or, oppressed by demons] was cured."
  Luke 8:35-36

Now?  Are your writings and teachings able to accomplish this?  Can you say your work is pure before Yahweh as to content?  Will you pass the judgment seat of Yahshua in safety?  Or?  Will you be consigned to the lake of fire with the unrepentant insane people?  You have an opportunity to become sane through the true writings of the Sacred Word of Almighty Yahweh.  You too can be placed into mental sanity through the Savior, Yahshua, the true Messiah!

At Truth On The Net Dot Com, we have inclined our resources and talents in doing just that!  We want you to be sane!  We want you to have an opportunity for eternal life!  We want to make you aware of the insanity prevalent amongst the religious writer/teachers of various denominations.  So!  We critique writings, and then we warn you!  We alert you to beware of these fanatical deceivers on various websites and also in the news.

We all know here at Truth On The Net Dot Com, that we will have to answer to a higher authority for everything we have done in the flesh.

"A disciple is not above the teacher, nor a slave above his master.
It is enough for the disciple to become as his teacher, and the slave as his master. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household?
Therefore, you should not fear them, for nothing is covered which will not be uncovered; and hidden, which will not be made known.
What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light. And what you hear in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
And you should not fear the ones killing the body, but not being able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him being able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna."
  Matthew 10:24-28

Who has this kind of control?  Who should we fear?

"For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son."  John 5:22

"For we all must appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to what he did, whether good or bad."

Yours in Yahshua, Hawke
