P.U.S.H.
A man was sleeping at night in his
cabin when suddenly
his room filled with light. Yahweh told the man he
had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in
front of his cabin.
Yahweh explained that the man was to push against
the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day
after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun
down; his shoulders set squarely against the cold,
massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all
of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin
sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been
spent in vain.
Since the man was showing discouragement, the
adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by
placing thoughts into the weary mind: "you have been
pushing against that rock for a long time, and it
hasn't moved."
Thus, giving the man the impression that the task was
impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts
discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, "Why
kill yourself over this?" "Just put in your time,
giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good
enough." That's what he planned to do, but decided
to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled
thoughts to Yahweh.
"Yahweh," he said, "I have labored long and hard in your
service, putting all my strength to do that which you
have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even
budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong?
Why am I failing?"
Yahweh responded compassionately, "My friend, when I
asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you
that your task was to push against the rock with all
of your strength, which you have done. Never once did
I mention to you that I expected you to move it.
Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with
your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.
But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms
are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown,
your hands are callused from constant pressure, your
legs have become massive and hard.
Through opposition you have grown much, and your
abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet
you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be
obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and
trust in My wisdom. This you have done.
Now, my friend, I will move the rock."
At times, when we hear a word from Yahweh, we tend to
use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when
actually what Yahweh wants is just a simple obedience and
faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that
moves mountains, but know that it is still Yahweh who
moves mountains.

AS A CHILD!
In that hour came the disciples unto Yahshua, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And he called to him a little child, and set him in the middle of them, and said, "Verily I say unto you, Except you turn, and become as little children, you shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me: But whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble, it is profitable for him that a great millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:1-6
Here is another reason Truth On The Net Dot Com exists! We were, and still are very concerned that you find the truth of the Bible! We have seen so many people have their faith destroyed because they became involved with false teachings! Every organization, group, or individual will have to answer for how they taught from the Bible! Are you being taught correctly?

THIS IS NEAT, YOU'LL ENJOY

The next time you are washing your hands and
complain because the water temperature isn't just
how you like it, think about how things used to be.
Here are some facts about the 1500s:
Most people got married in June because they
took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled
pretty good by June. However, they were starting to
smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to
hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of
carrying a bouquet when getting married.
Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot
water. The man of the house had the privilege of the
nice clean water, then all the other sons and men,
then the women and finally the children. Last of all
the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could
actually lose someone
in it. Hence the saying, Don't throw the baby out
with the Bath water..
Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled
high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place
for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other
small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When
it rained it became slippery and sometimes the
animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the
saying . It's raining cats and dogs.
There was nothing to stop things from falling
into the house. This posed a real problem in the
bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up
your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and
a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection.
That's how canopy beds
came into existence.
The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had
something other than dirt. Hence the saying, Dirt
poor. The wealthy had slate floors That would get
slippery in the winter when wet , so they spread
thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing.
As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until,
when you opened the door, it would all start
slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the
entranceway.
Hence the saying a ...thresh hold..
(Getting quite an education, aren't you?)
In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with
a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every
day they lit the fire and added things to the pot.
They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much
meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving
leftovers in the pot to get cold
overnight and then start over the next day.
Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there
for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, Peas porridge
hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot
nine days old..
Those with money had plates made of pewter.
Food with high acid content caused some of the lead
to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning
death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so
for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were
considered poisonous.
Bread was divided according to status. Workers
got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the
middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.
Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The
combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone
walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for
burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for
a couple of days and the family would gather around
and eat and drink and wait and see if they would
wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.
England is old and small and the local folks
started running out of places to bury people. So
they would dig up coffins and would take the bones
to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening
these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to
have scratch marks on
the inside and they realized they had been burying
people alive. So they would tie a string on the
wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and
up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone
would have to sit out in the graveyard all night
(the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus,
someone could be, saved by the bell. or was
considered a ...dead ringer..
And that's the truth...Now , whoever said
